Buffalo, NY (WBEN) With the advent of fall comes the end of road construction season. For commuters, some headaches will be gone, if only temporarily.

Susan Surdej with the DOT says there's good news for those who drive along Main Street in Williamsville. "We're happy to say the project will be completed by the end of the fall," says Surdej.

Roadwork on the 290 eastbound between Colvin and Delaware should be over too. "The eastbound bridge will be completed this fall, and we will be reconfiguring and opening that for the winter, and construction will resume in the spring," with the work being focused on westbound traffic.

As for the Skyway, Surdej says about 45 percent of the work has been done. "The Skyway will be opening full width by mid-November," explains Surdej. "We will have no construction over the winter months, which is good news for commuters."
