Buffalo, NY (WBEN) There is a new owner of Pano's Restaurant on Elmwood. It's the company building condominiums next door.

“We are very excited to have purchased the iconic Pano’s Restaurant,” said Mark Chason, president, Chason Affinity Companies. “My family and I have enjoyed the restaurant for many years, and we look forward to continuing the long and storied tradition of Pano Georgiadis, one of our city’s finest and most successful restauranteurs.”

After the sale transaction is completed on Friday, February 23rd, the restaurant will close for approximately eight weeks while interior renovations are completed, including a new kitchen and updated décor. Chason will reopen the restaurant under the Pano’s name and will hire an experienced management team, including an executive chef, to run the restaurant operation.

“Our goal is to have as seamless a transition as possible and provide Pano’s long-time customers and our new patrons a great casual dining experience in an updated and improved landmark restaurant in the Elmwood Village,” said Chason.

Former owner Pano Georgiadis says he's pleased that a local resident and businessman with a vested interest in the neighborhood will own and operate the restaurant.
