Sonwil Looking to Extend Reach

Buffalo-based Sonwil Distribution is in preliminary discussions with the Genesee County Economic Development Center about construction of a regional multi-temperature warehouse facility in Batavia's Genesee Valley Agri-Business Park.  The warehouse would provide storage capacity for food and beverage manufacturing and processing companies currently residing in the agri-business park as well as similar companies in the Buffalo and Rochester metro regions.

The complicated story of the downtown Buffalo Hyatt Regency taking another turn.  Last month, Hyatt Corp. moved to end its association with the hotel as of June 1st.  A preliminary injunction stopped that effort.  Business First noting that a State Supreme court ruling yesterday would allow Genesee Hotel Properties LLC, an affiliate of Snyder Corp. of Buffalo, to keep the Hyatt name, with stipulations.  Genesee Hotel Properties is reportedly working to sell the hotel, but keeping the branding would be a key selling point.

AT&T's 6th annual Aspire Accelerator class has been announced.  Making the cut was Buffalo based startup Immersed Games, which will receive a $125,000 investment from AT&T.  Over the next six months, Immersed Games will be receiving mentoring, resources, services and expertise from AT&T to help drive change and reach students across the country.
