One-year-old among coronavirus cases in Niagara County

51 confirmed cases in Niagara County

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. (WBEN) – Niagara County is reporting 51 cases of coronavirus.

The cases spiked from 28 over the weekend.

“It’s not unexpected,” Dan Stapleton, Niagara County Public Health Director, said. “We’ve been saying all along that these numbers will increase and they have. We’ll see that over the coming days.”

Stapleton announced on Monday that the youngest of the cases are of two infants, both of whom are one year old. The oldest case is an 83 year old.

Of the 51 total cases, there are 10 confirmed from the City of Niagara Falls and in the Town of Wheatfield.
