(WBEN) - Daredevil Nik Wallenda is preparing for his next big wire walk, this time walking the tightrope high above Times Square in New York City.

The event, being televised nationally as "Highwire Live," will take place Sunday night at 8:00, and will also feature Wallenda's sister Lijana. Lijana was injured badly in a 2017 accident where she and four others fell off a tightrope during rehearsal.

The stunt will be eye-popping.

"I believe it's five or six city blocks (in length), and over 25 stories up," Nik told WBEN in an interview just days before the event. "There's a lot of unique challenges with Times Square, a lot of distractions for sure not only with the city traffic moving in the background as we'll be walking, but also those LED walls that will be flashing beneath us."

And if that wasn't enough, Wallenda and his sister will cross paths on the same wire. Lijana will sit down in the middle as Nik steps over her.

It's a visual the Wallendas hope is on par with the images of Nik standing over Niagara Falls.

"You look at the photo of me over Niagara Falls, it takes your breath away. Even mine. Just to see how small we are in this massive world that we live in, It kind of puts things in to perspective." Nik said. "This photo itself is something I'm extremely excited for. Me and my sister, and her sitting down and me stepping over, I just cant wait. I get goosebumps thinking about it."

Highwire Live will air on ABC Sunday night at 8:00.
