BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is telling the public to only take a metro bus or rail if it's considered a "critical trip".

"Do not go out unless it is absolutely necessary," the NFTA wrote on its website.

The organization said that the metro bus and rail will continue to run its regular service as normal but are urging social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic.

NFTA has suspended fare collection and are asking passengers to use rear doors to board and exit the buses. Those with special needs or mobility issues can still use the front doors.
