Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Dash's Market will open up its new Hertel Avenue location on Wednesday, and it's much to the delight of one neighborhood group.

"We are delighted with Dash's plans to open this new store," says Joann Steinmetz of the North Buffalo Organization. "It's going to be a real asset to the community. The organization has already been generous to a number of non-profits, and it's going to be a great place to shop and grab a bite to eat." She adds the community room will also be there.

Steinmetz says there is indeed room for a market on Hertel. "In 2014 when Dash's had originally announced it was leaving, it caused an uproar. People felt like they're were being abandoned," explains Steinmetz. "There are enough shoppers for both the Lexington Co-op and Dash's to thrive and flourish in our community."

Steinmetz says Dash's will bring more than just North Buffalo residents. "It should bring more people from the surrounding areas and that should be great for the other businesses as well," notes Steinmetz.

She adds the North Buffalo Organization has had a great working relationship with Dash's. "They're generous to community organizations. They're a great neighbor, and I think their staff is teriffic. They build to make a relationship with customers," says Steinmetz.

The Dash's is moving just a bit from its old location on Hertel.
