BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) – The Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park remembered the tragedy of Pearl Harbor on its 77th anniversary on Friday.

Speakers there included Frederick Shear,  a 95-year-old World War II veteran who served as a US Navy Technician 1st Class in the European Theater between 1943 and 1946.

Though Shear did not serve during the Pearl Harbor Incident, the Town of Boston resident was celebrated for his service to the United States.
