BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - The political aggregate and data website Real Clear Politics calls the NY-27 race between Chris Collins and Nate McMurray a "toss up".

Several other political websites still show the incumbent republican Collins with a lead over McMurray. Collins is under federal indictment for alleged insider trading and lying to the FBI.

"Everything little thing now counts," GOP analyst Michael Caputo said. "Everything that Nate McMurray says counts. Everything that Chris Collins does counts. How both of them campaign counts and, by the way, how republicans in NY-27 act counts now."

Caputo said that Real Clear Politics leans to the left but is a "straight-forward player" on ratings and is a site that needs to be taken seriously by republicans.

GOP political strategist Carl Calabrese said that he wasn't surprised to see NY-27 as a "toss up" and said republicans can't take McMurray lightly.

"I never look at one website or one poll for information," Calabrese said.  "Polls vary tremendously."
