McCoy to play against Dolphins; Woods out

October 22, 2016 - 9:53 pm
Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is going to play on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, and it is expected that he will play on a limited basis.

Early Sunday morning, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that McCoy will dress for the Bills, but could be on a 25 to 35 play "pitch count". McCoy had been listed as questionable on Friday after not finishing Wednesday's practice with tightness in his hamstring. McCoy did not practice on Thursday, and practiced on a limited basis on Friday.
McCoy is currently second in the National Football League with 587 rushing yards this season, and is averaging 97.8 yards per game. McCoy is also tied for second in the NFL with six rushing touchdowns. Through the air, McCoy has 20 receptions for 97 yards and an additional touchdown.

With McCoy limited, it is expected that backup running back Mike Gillislee will get some considerable action in relief. Gillislee has 117 yards rushing on 17 carries this season with two touchdowns.

As for Bills wide receiver Robert Woods, he is inactive for Sunday's game in Miami with his foot injury. Woods did not practice at all during the week, and was wearing a walking boot for most of the week.

Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus is also inactive for Sunday's game with his hamstring injury.

Bills pre-game coverage begins at 7 a.m. on Sunday with Breakfast with the Bills - Fantasy Style. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. from Miami, Florida. Be sure to turn down the sound on your television, and turn up the radio to catch Murph, Kelso, and Sal on the call.
