Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Standing at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Beverly in Buffalo on a sun-drenched Saturday afternoon, Mayor Byron Brown announced th deployment of a program known as the 'Good Neighbor Network".

The program, which began Friday, will see some 150,000 door hangers placed on the doors of city homes and directing residents how to summon non-emergency assistance.

"We have to take steps to ensure that people do not become socially isolated", said Mayor Brown in referencing the now recommended practice of being socially distant from one another.

Volunteers, block club leaders and a contingent of Buffalo Police recruits are all working to place the door hangers on doors city-wide according to the Mayor.
