Wilson, NY (WBEN) Dozens of dead animals were carried out of a home in Niagara County on Tuesday after a raid was carried out by the Niagara SPCA.

"I would say probably at least two dozen, potentially more," said Niagara SPCA Director Amy Lewis.

"We have birds, rats, barn animals. We are removing most of those animals tonight, we will be back in the morning," Lewis said.

Police and Investigators were able to visually inspect the property before they applied for the warrant at the farmhouse in the Town of Wilson.

Lewis doesn't know exactly how the SPCA became involved but assured WBEN that they became involved after receiving "some kind of complaint."
The owner of the house was on scene at the time of the raid and charges are pending in this case.
