BUFFALO (WBEN) - On Monday morning, Erie County DA John Flynn announced that 24-year-old Najeeb Shabazz Jackson of Buffalo has been charged with first degree reckless endangerment, among other charges, for his actions on early Sunday morning.

It's alleged that Jackson intentionally drove his vehicle into the entrance of Bottoms Up, a nightclub located on West Chippewa Street in the City of Buffalo.

"The reckless endangerment charge and the criminal mischief charge stem from him allegedly driving his car into the front window of the bar after he was allegedly asked to leave earlier that evening," said Flynn. "The assault in the second degree, there were two individuals who were in the bar and were injured. They were not serious injuries, but it rises to the level of second degree and a Class D felony of assault because the car is a dangerous instrument."

Jackson is scheduled to return on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. for a felony hearing. He was held on $50,000 cash  bond.

If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of 7 years in prison.
