(WBEN) After calls asking Buffalo Bishop Richard Malone (pictured above with Attorney Terrence Connors ) to release the names of priests  who have been accused of sexual abuse over the past few decades, it appears a  Minnesota Law firm may do so as early as today.

Jeff Anderson and Associates of St. Paul Minnesota is in Buffalo for a news conference Tuesday where they are expected to release a report detailing accusations against 13 local priests.

The firm that specializes in clergy abuse says they will also discuss how those priests have been moved or removed after accusations are made.

The diocese has unveiled an independent compensation program, with outside hearing officers deciding on cases and compensation awards to victims that have come forward before the program was unveiled on March 1.   A second round for other victims is possible, the diocese has said.

In addition to identifying the new claims of sexual abuse in the diocese, the firm will also be asking Bishop Malone to release the names of all accused priests . The diocese has refused such requests in the past, however, when he announced the victim compensation program recently, Malone said he was reconsidering that policy.
