Grand Island, NY (WBEN) A corrections officer admits to a hit and run incident in June, seriously injuring a woman walking her dog.

27 year old Edward Kuebler III pleads guilty to striking Dana Papaj on East River Road. Police say Kuebler then drove off. Papaj suffered serious head injuries and she remains in rehab at ECMC.

He forfeits his right to an appeal. He faces one to three years in jail when sentenced on January 17th.

Until then, bail is set at $5,000 on the condition Kuebler does not drive, as his license remains suspended.
