Jury will convene again on Monday morning

BUFFALO (WBEN) - We'll have to wait until next week, at least, to hear the verdict in the criminal case against Buffalo Police Officer Corey Krug after the jury could not make a decision after the sixth day of deliberation.

Krug is accused of multiple civil rights violations dating back to 2010. The most recent incident was on Thanksgiving Eve in 2014, when Krug was shown striking a person on Chippewa Street using his baton while that person was on the ground.

The jury asked to hear a readback of a piece of testimony, and the judge decided to adjourn for the weekend. The seventh day of deliberation will begin Monday morning at 9 a.m.

If convicted, Krug could serve up to 10 years in prison.
