Gunman Sentenced for March 2019 Shooting in Buffalo

Josue Bermudez to serve 45 years to life behind bars

BUFFALO (WBEN) - Erie County District Attorney John Flynn announces that 19-year-old Josue Bermudez of Buffalo has been sentenced to 45 years to life in prison for shooting 17-year-old Deron Allen with an illegal pistol on the night of March 8, 2019.

The incident ocurred near the North Buffalo Community Center on Sanders Road in the City of Buffalo. Two other teenagers were injured by gunfire, but recovered from their injuries.

Justice Buscaglia found Bermudez guilty of one count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-I” felony, two counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Class “B” felonies, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “C” felony, on December 4, 2019.
