Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A Buffalo man admits his role in a deadly shooting in the city's Allentown section.

30-year-old Jeremy Wright of Buffalo pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio to Murder in the Second Degree, in connection with the shooting of 37-year-old Saleem Merukeb of Buffalo on Allen Street near Delaware Avenue on November 3rd.

Wright faces a maximum of 20 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on Monday, July 30 at 9:30 a.m.

“This was a senseless act of violence that resulted in the death of a man,” said DA John Flynn. “I hope the victim’s family feels that justice has been served by the defendant pleading guilty to the highest charge.”
