Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority's board of commissioners offered the executive director position to its current interim director. Gillian Brown has been interim executive director since March.
Chairman David Rodriguez says the board interviewed Brown and two other candidates, and decided on Brown based on board members being confident Brown was moving the BMHA in the right path.
"I am pleased that the board was able to reach a unanimous decision to hire Gillian as our executive director," says Rodriguez. "I have every confidence that working together with the board, and Mayor Brown, Gillian and his team will be able to bring much needed positive change to the authority. We were impressed with his commitment to our residents and their communities, and we know he will make the physical conditions of our developments a top priority."
Terms will be negotiated, then presented to the board at the October meeting.
