Frost Advisory into Sunday morning for parts of southern tier

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Like a light switch, our unseasonably warm Fall weather of late is turning more seasonable and the first frost advisories of the season are in place.  The National Weather Service has posted a FROST ADVISORY for Wyoming, Allegany and Cattaraugus Counties into Sunday morning.

FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 9 AM EDT SUNDAY

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Frost
Advisory, which is in effect from 2 AM to 9 AM EDT Sunday.

* LOCATIONS...Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Cattaraugus, and
Allegany counties.

* TIMING...2 AM to 9 AM Sunday.

* TEMPERATURES...In the mid 30s.

* IMPACTS...Areas of frost will damage sensitive vegetation if not
protected or moved inside.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Frost Advisory is issued when frost is expected to develop
during the growing season. If you are in the advisory area you
should take steps to protect tender vegetation. Also, potted
plants normally left outdoors should be covered or brought inside
away from the cold.
