Fatal Accident this Morning in West Seneca

Southwestern and Transit Road still Closed

(WBEN)  It's been very busy this morning for local police agencies.

The West Seneca Police Department currently investigating a fatal crash this morning on Southwestern Boulevard at Transit Road. It was a rollover with one person being ejected and killed. Three others were pulled from the vehicle and taken to ECMC. The accident happened just after 5AM.

Nittec is reporting that Route 20A is closed from Route 16 to Leydecker Road (1.5 miles) in the Town of West Seneca because of Crash. Reported at 7:59 am and updated at 8:00 am. (ID# 5964) The accident first reported by the Erie County Blotter.


Earlier this morning police in Niagara Falls are reporting a man in critical condition after being struck by a car. It happened about 12:20am in the 1900 Block of Walnut Avenue. The driver swerved to avoid the pedestrian and ended up hitting 2 trees. The 21-year old victim was taken to the Niagara Falls Medical Center before being flown to ECMC where he was in listed in critical condition.
