Niagara Falls, NY (WBEN) Niagara Falls Police say they've got a handle on a third suspect in connection with a robbery that resulted in the death of a man.

"We know who it is. We're just not releasing information about him at this time," says Chief of Detectives Kelly Rizzo, who says this is a passive search for the suspect. "Part of it is we don't want to release information vital to the prosecution at this time. There are certain procedures prosecutors use in prosecuting these cases, they need a bit more legwork."

Rizzo says 18-year-old Stephanie Raymond and  22-year-old Shequan Herbert arrived at an apartment house Wednesday night to rob one of the residents at gunpoint. During the incident Jose Hewitt was struck in the head.

Rizzo says the unnamed suspect is the person assisting Herbert in assaulting Hewitt and robbing the other victim. An autopsy revealed Hewitt died of a heart attack, which is why police are charging Raymond and Herbert with murder..
