Buffalo, NY – If it's April, it must be Easter season at the Broadway Market!

Mayor Byron W. Brown and Father Michael Czyzewski and others kicked off the annual Easter Festival season at the Broadway Market with a ceremonial ribbon cutting, followed by a traditional dance routine performed by the Harmony Polish Folk Ensemble.

“The Easter Season is always an exciting time at the Broadway Market,” said Mayor Brown. “This is a phenomenal space for small business to grow and for new entrepreneurs to perfect their craft and reach their niche audience. Under one roof, we have many unique businesses that sale food, clothing and fashion accessories. I encourage city residents and visitors to shop at the Broadway Market, especially during the Easter Season when there are additional specialty shops.”

By the end of 2017, the City of Buffalo will have invested over $1.4 million in capital improvements at the Broadway Market; this includes a new licensed commercial kitchen and parking garage reconstruction.

This holiday food and craft festival features local wineries, specialty food vendors, Easter crafters and Broadway Market’s traditional Easter foods including: hams, sausage, fish, horseradish, breads and sweets and butter lambs. 100 Vendors will be open during the market’s Easter festival, including three new permanent vendors: Babcia Pierogi Company, We Are Nuts and Marge's Soul Food, and nine new seasonal vendors.

Since 1888, the Broadway Market has been known for unique products and personal services, with meat and poultry stands, produce counters, bakeries, candy stands and restaurants. Family-owned businesses passed from generation to generation, continue to create some of Buffalo’s best loved foods

The Easter Festival continues every day through Dyngus Day, April 17. The Easter Bunny will be at the market daily starting on Saturday, April 1, at 10:00 am.
