Car Plows into a vacant structure

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo Police are investigating a fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man on Thursday morning.  The original call was about a car that crashed into a home on East Amherst Street near Suffolk. Soon after, it was learned that a shooting preceded the crash.

Buffalo Police said the shooting happened at 6 a.m. A neighbor told WBEN that he heard five or six gunshots. The man was in the car when he was shot and continued to drive the car through a stop sign, then through a wooden fence, before striking a vacant house at the corner of Suffolk and East Amherst.

Buffalo Police were placing about 20 evidence markers near the scene for bullet casings and other debris.

The man's identity has not been released.
