BUFFALO (WBEN) - In what continues to be a disturbing trend of gun violence throughout the City of Buffalo, police reported two more shooting incidents Wednesday night, both which took place around 10 p.m.

Police say one man was found deceased inside his car near Canisius High School in the 1200 block of Delaware Avenue, having suffered a gunshot wound. Detectives say the 28 year old victim  was struck by gunfire while inside a vehicle - as the vehicle was parked in a lot.
Detectives say the incident was targeted in nature.

In a second incident, a man arrived at Buffalo General Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, and the victim told police he had been shot near Main Street and Glenwood Avenue.

"Deeply concerned about the recent gun violence in the city, I can tell you that violent crime in all categories of crime in the city by five percent," Mayor Byron Brown said Monday after a rash of shootings over the weekend. "But unfortunately, gun incidents, shootings, non-fatal shootings are up by 55 percent in the City of Buffalo, so I am very concerned about it, the Buffalo Police Department is very concerned about it."
