17 and 19 year olds arraigned in Buffalo City Court

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Erie County District Attorney John Flynn says 17-year-old Alexandria Heath and 19-year-old Romaine Jirdon, both of Buffalo, were arraigned in Buffalo City Court Sunday on a charge of Murder in the Second Degree in the death of Alexandria’s father, 58-year-old Thomas Heath of Buffalo.

It's alleged that this past Friday, November 17, the teens beat and stabbed the victim in their home at 459 West Ferry in Buffalo.

They pleaded not guilty and were remanded to jail without bail. A Felony Hearing before Judge Martoche is scheduled for November 22, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.

If convicted of the charge, the defendants face a maximum of 25 years to life in prison.

District Attorney Flynn commended the work of Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives Christopher Sterlace, Terrence Supples, Scott Malec and Detective Sgt. James Dunham.
