Buffalo, NY (WBEN) On Monday, Governor Cuomo said sports betting revenue wouldn't generate a lot. But one local lawmaker says it can still do good.

"Sports betting does not make you that much money. New Jersey has sports betting and it only raises $13 million," says Governor Cuomo, which he calls a rounding error, and says the economic benefit isn't there to legalize it.

But one local assemblymember says the money can do good. "$13 million is $13 million," says Assemblymember Patrick Burke. "I'm not saying I agree with the projection, but it's still a significant amount of money" the state just can't turn its nose up on money especially when the state is crying poor.
