New York, NY (WBEN) - Representatives Chris Collins and Tom Reed are among eight New York House seats being targeted by Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.  She has enlisted the help of Governor Andrew Cuomo.

During a union rally at the Javits Center in New York City yesterday, Pelosi said there were eight Republican seats they can win in November 2018.  "we have a powerful ally in this fight with Governor Andrew Cuomo,” Pelosi told the crowd.

While Pelosi didn't mention any specific representatives, the governor did, John Faso and, of course, Chris Collins.

“I charge Congressmen Faso and Collins with violating their office to represent the people of the State of New York” Cuomo said. “These are political pawns to the ultra-conservative puppet masters in Washington.”

They stood at a podium advertising the site NYfightsback.org which lists six of the eight seats they're targeting.  Collins is on there, and Representative Tom Reed as well.

State Republican Chairman Ed Cox says Cuomo only cares about his national ambitions.

Governor Cuomo has been criticized by some Democrats for not helping fellow party members throughout the state. Cuomo insiders say he plans to take active role in the upcoming House races.

This just a few days after several articles pointed out Cuomo is not generating any excitement within national Democrat circles.

There are conflicting reports on the number of people who attended the rally, the reports ranging from "dozens" to "a thousand".
