COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Niagara County

155 cases reported on Wednesday

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. (WBEN) - COVID-19 cases have steadily climbed to 155 in Niagara County according to the map that tracks coronavirus cases.

In the last 24 hours, there were 12 new cases of the disease. So far, 51 people have recovered from coronavirus, though 17 are hospitalied.

The City of Niagara Falls, the county's largest municipality, has the most cases at 41.

On Tuesday, Niagara County confirmed that a 58-year-old man with no underlying health conditions was the first person in the county to die from the disease. No one else has died in Niagara County.

Wydysh promoted the state's COVID-19 tracking site, which examines how many tests were conducted in each county throughout the state.
