Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - On the heels of a fatal fire tragedy in Buffalo's Lovejoy neighborhood, residents filled the hall at Spirit of Truth Urban Ministry Tuesday night to air their concerns about drug activity in their community.

Pastror Al Robinson organized the meeting and invited representatives from the Buffalo Police, New York State Police and Cheektowaga Police to attend.  Police representatives listened and responded to specific questions raised by residents on hand.  In many cases, the best advice police were able to offer is to engage with their community police officer to get answers and to communicate concerns.

"We all share a common goal of ridding our area of drugs and ridding our area of drug dealers", Pastor Robinson told WBEN.

Robinson says there is good news, "we used to lead the western New York in overdose deaths, this area, now we have almost cut the oversoses in half as a result of a collective effort".
