Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Already some light snow has been falling across parts of the southtowns and interior sections of Western New York as a weekend more suited for early March is shaping up.  Another round of some snowfall is also in the forecast late Saturday and early Sunday for much of the region.

Accuweather forecasters say high temperatures in the 40s and 50s Fahrenheit across interior areas will feel even colder as gusty winds push AccuWeather RealFeel Temperatures 5-10 degrees F lower.

It won't feel much like the calendar is about to flip to May with a brisk chill in the air and gusty winds.

"There is the possibility of wet snow or at least wet snow mixing in with the rain during Saturday night in northwestern Pennsylvania and western New York state," said AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Brian Wimer.

Any sensitive early budding plants should be protected through this cold snap.
