Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - While the cold weather is here for all of Western New York for an additional day, the snow will only impact the northern most portion of the region, north of metro Buffalo.  A Winter Weather Advisory is posted through Wednesday evening for Niagara and Orleans Counties.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS
EVENING
...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of
3 to 6 inches expected in the most persistent lake snows.

* WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, and Monroe counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and or
evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If
traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and
visibilities.
