Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A program coordinator for the city of Buffalo has been charged with criminal sexual act.

50-year-old Antwan Diggs of Buffalo has been arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Betty Calvo-Torres on one count of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, a Class “B” violent felony, one count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class “D” felony, and one count of Forcible Touching, a Class “A” misdemeanor.

Prosecutors say on August 19th, Diggs engaged in sexual conduct with another person by forcible compulsion at a location in the City of Buffalo. It is further alleged Diggs forcibly touched the victim and subjected the victim to sexual contact by forcible compulsion.

Erie County DA John Flynn kept mum on what exactly happened. "I can't go into details about that, I need to preserve that for the evidence at trial. I'm also not going to say anything that could potentially identify who the victim is," says Flynn.

Flynn is asking no bail be granted to Diggs. "I believe he's a flight risk. He's not from the Buffalo area, he's from Philadelphia and he has family there," says Flynn, who adds Diggs knew Buffalo Police wanted to talk with him.

Diggs is scheduled to return on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. A no-contact order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

If convicted on all charges, Diggs faces a maximum of 25 years prison.
