BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Buffalo man who was already accused of one murder has now been accused of a second one and faces 50 years to life in prison.

Charles Jones, 24, was initially accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend, 25-year-old Jacquetta Lee, to death in July.  Lee's body was found on July 18 after she was reported missing by family members.

In Monday's unsealed indictment, Jones is now accused of murdering his mother, 52-year-old Alethia Atwood Williams. He allegedly stabbed her to death inside her Jefferson Avenue apartment. Williams' body was found on August 16 after Buffalo Police arrested Jones following a standoff.

"We superceded the indictment on the girlfriend to now include the death of his mother as well," Erie County District Attorney John Flynn said. "That case will all be going together as one cases...There is evidence that overlaps both cases."

Flynn said that Jones has not been charged in connection to the death of his daughter, ten-month-old Royalty Lee Jones. His son died from a brain injury in February of 2018. There have been no charged in connection to the girl's death.

Jones will return to court on November 25. He is currently being held without bail.
