Buffalo Police make arrest in terrorist threats against Pride Parade

40 year old woman made numerous social media threats

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo Police have made an arrest in connection with terrorist threats made against the Buffalo Pride Parade.

Rosalyn Colligan, 40, of Buffalo allegedly threatened to murder parade-goers. She was charged with a felony count of making terroristic threats.

"The posts were very explicit," Buffalo Police Captain Jeff Rinaldo told reporters on Monday. "They had threatened to shoot the event up as well as bring a series of knives and commit some other heinous acts."

Rinaldo adds the death thrests were aimed at a specific person or population and says, "it wasn't a specific threat just against females or males or gays or lesbians it was rantings about people she believed would be in attendance at the event"

Police were tipped to the threats late Friday night from their Facebook page.

Bail for Colligan was set at $100,000.
