Buffalo Police Investigate First Homicide of 2019

Body found in car involved in crash at Franklin and Allen

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Buffalo Police are investigating their first homicide of 2019.

Police say emergency responders arrived at an accident scene on Franklin Street, near Allen Street. The vehicle involved, a Chevrolet Malibu, contained a 27 year old male victim, who was declared dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Frank Navaroli of Buffalo.

Investigators found Navaroli was a passenger in the car, and that the driver had apparently fled the scene. An autopsy later confirmed that the victim died as a result of gunshot wounds, which occurred prior to the accident.

The investigation continues with Homicide Squad detectives asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact police by calling or texting the Confidential TIPCALL Line at (716) 847-2255.
