Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Buffalo man was arraigned Friday on murder charges in connection with a double shooting on Hagen Street in Buffalo.

31 year old Lemuele Jackson is accused of firing multiple shots into a group of people outside a house party.  26 year old Santana Anderson was shot in the head and died at the scene. Another woman was shot in the leg and survived.

Erie County District Attorney John Flynn says there was an altercation that occurred earlier in the evening, and Jackson later returned with a gun.  "He shot into a crowd of people that were gathered outside for a house party on Hagen Street at about 10:40pm.  As a result of his alleged reckless actions, a 26 year old woman, an innocent bystander, who had nothing to do with the prior altercation, got shot and killed".

Jackson is charged with one count of Intentional Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Depraved Indifference Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, along with other charges.

He is scheduled to return for a pre-trial conference October 2nd.   Jackson remains in jail without bail.  If convicted of all charges, he faces 50 years to life in prison.
