Buffalo man arraigned in August murder

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) 31-year-old Lemuele Jackson of Buffalo was arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Debra Givens yesterday on one count of Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

Prosecutors say on August 4 at approximately 10:40 p.m., Jackson fired multiple shots into a group of people outside of a house party on Hagen Street in the City of Buffalo. A 36-year-old woman was shot in the leg, but survived her injury. Another woman, 26-year-old Santana Anderson, was shot in the head and died at the scene.

Jackson is scheduled to return for a felony hearing on Friday, August 24 at 9:30 a.m. He remains remanded without bail.

If convicted on all charges, Jackson faces 50 years to life in prison.
