The local average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas crept back up a penny to $2.28.  According to the AAA, that's sixteen cents less than the price one year ago.

A deal announced this spring has been finalized.  Business First reports TestAmerica, with an office in Amherst, has been bought up by a Chinese firm.  No terms were publicly announced.

Canisius College is the recipient of a $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation.  The college will use the grant to provide scholarship support and new learning opportunities for students interested in STEM careers.

An 11am groundbreaking tomorrow is planned for the New Era Performing Arts Center at Cradle Beach.  The facility will be dedicated in memory of former camp director Jack C. Anthony.

Heritage Centers Maryvale School will hold a ribbon cutting and dedication of the “The Russell J. Salvatore Learning Center” this Wednesday.  The event taking place at 10:30 a.m. at 777 Maryvale Drive in Cheektowaga.
