The AAA reports the current average for a gallon of unleaded gas in the area is $2.44.  That's down one cent from last week's cost.  Pump prices have been pressured higher overall due to cuts in oil production globally, but increased U.S. production and low demand has led to a leveling out of prices over the last couple of weeks.

The state Department of Financial Services has okayed a plan by M&T Bank to add to its New York City-area retail network.  Business First reports M&T has gained approval for a new branch in the Bronx. The office will be the first M&T branch in the borough - and the 18th branch in the five boroughs of New York City.

The Cheesy Chick has opened a store at the Eastern Hills Mall.

The Bills will be investing over $4.3 million in a project to build a second practice field next to the current one in Orchard Park.  Field work on the field will begin this spring.  Business First notes the turf should be ready for use by the time OTA's roll around.
