Body found in Niagara Falls along train tracks

NFPD seeking to identify intact remains of woman

Niagara Falls, N.Y. (WBEN) - Niagara Falls Police are working to identify the remains of a female that were located along train tracks in the city Saturday.

At approximately 3pm, NFPD received a report of a body found in a field north of the 2200 block of Buffalo Avenue.

Police say the fully intact body is that of an unidentified  white female with an age range of 17-35, and reddish-brown hair. The death is considered suspicious in nature and an in-depth investigation is being conducted. An autopsy will be conducted but has not been scheduled.

In a statement, NFPD says: "While we know the description is vague, we ask that if anyone knows anyone who matches this description and has not seen or heard from them within the past week; reach out to them and if contact cannot be made,  call the NFPD at 286-4711".
