Orchard Park, NY (WBEN) Even if you're not ready for some football, the Bills pre-season is underway. They take on Indianpolis tonight at New Era Field.

WGR's Sal Capaccio says don't expect the starters next month to play much tonight. "You can expect the starters to play about a quarter, at least on the offensive side of the ball. The defense has known each other and will likely play a few series," says Sal. "You'll see several veterans have the night off. Tonight is about getting acclimated to playing football once again."

Same goes for the Colts. "Andrew Luck's not going to play. He has an injury, but he wouldn't play in this one anyway," says Capaccio, who marks the Colts as Super Bowl favorites. Former Bill Frank Reich is coaching the Colts, and there's a chance of another Buffalo connection playing for the visitors. "We could see Chad Kelly against Tyree Jackson at quarterback. That would be an interesting matchup at New Era Field," notes Sal.

It's also Kids Day. "I recommend the family going to preseason games. It's a good time out there, and it's a chance for the kids to get exposed to the game without the increased intensity of the regular season," says Sal.

After this game, the Bills practice over the weekend, then head to Carolina to practice with and play against the Panthers.

Now that 2019 training camp has concluded for the Buffalo Bills, it’s time to take a look at the big picture and what we learned about the team and certain players and positions over the 11 practices at St. John Fisher College.

Here are five opinions from Sal based on what he's seen since July 25
