Orchard Park, NY (WBEN) The Buffalo Bills seemed to be firing on all cylinders Sunday as they combined solid offensive play with timely defensive takeaways to defeat the Oakland Raiders ___ at New Era Field.

Oakland took the opening kickoff and drove the length of the field for a touchdown run by Jamize Olawale. After that the Raiders would not see the end zone again until the fourth quarter.

The Bills offense was led by an effective Tyrod Taylor who finished the day 20 of 27 for 1654 yards and a touchdown pass to Andre Holmes. Taylor scored on a quarterback sneak on fourth and goal from the one. LeSean McCoy served as the workhorse carrying the ball 27 times for 151 yards including a 48 yard scoring run to put the game away.

Buffalo’s defense had yet another dominate game in the giveaway-takeaway as they forced four Oakland turnovers (two fumbles and two interceptions), one returned for a touchdown by rookie linebacker, Matt Milano which seemed to swing momentum for the remainder of the game.

Following the game, Bills’ head coach Sean McDermott said rookie Tre’davious White played a solid game as he was assigned to shadow all-pro receiver, Amari Cooper and held him to five catches for 48 yards. He also said this team works hard and, “…cares about the process.”

The Bills are now 5-2 on the season and pay their lone prime time game Thursday night against the New York Jets.
