It looks as though Buffalo Bills rookie pass rusher Shaq Lawson is ready to make his National Football League debut this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

On Friday, the Bills officially activated the 22-year old from the Reserve / Physically Unable to Perform list to the active 53-man roster.

Lawson was Buffalo's first round pick (19th overall) in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Clemson University. Lawson had been out of action since May when he had surgery to repair a shoulder injury suffered in college.

While at Clemson, Lawson recorded 167 tackles, 20 sacks, and forced two fumbles in 41 games played with the Tigers. In 2015, Lawson led the nation in tackles for loss with 25.5 tackles.

The Bills also announced on Friday they have promoted tight end Manasseh Garner to the active 53-man roster from the practice squad.

To make room for Lawson and Garner, the Bills have released tight end Gerald Christian and guard Gabe Ikard.
