Fire Damaged Home on St. Johns Place

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Buffalo fire marshals and Buffalo police are investigating a number of tote fires in the Allentown and West side area.

Officials responded to the call just after 6:45am Wednesday morning.

Authorities say 4 totes were started on fire. One in the 300 block of Hudson Street. Two in the first block of Orton Place and one in the first block of St. Johns Place.

Fire investigators say it appears the tote fire on St. Johns Place spread to a detached garage and a house also located in the first block of St. Johns Place and to another house in the 300 block of Hudson Street.

Fire officials say damage is estimated at over $125,000 in connection with the garage, the 2 homes and a vehicle that was affected.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
