Amherst, NY (WBEN) - Amherst Police are investigating a bank robbery at the Bank of America in the Getzville Plaza located at 2305 Millersport Highway.

On August 24, 2017 at around 3:40 pm a black male suspect dressed as a female entered the bank and presented a note demanding money and took an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect then left the bank on foot.

Amherst Police Officers with the assistance of the K9 Unit from the NFTA Police Department checked the area for the suspect.


  • Black Male
  • Late teens to early 20s years of age
  • Small Build
  • Long Black Hair (Possibly a wig)
  • Last Seen dark sweatshirt with “PINK” on the right sleeve, left chest area a logo of a dog. Baseball style cap with the word “POP Warner” on the front.
