Arrest in Amherst Hit and Run
21 year old man was struck by a vehicle in October

Amherst, NY (WBEN) A Williamsville woman has been arrested in connection with an October hit and run.
Amherst Police say a 21 year old was struck by a vehicle in the 2300 block of Wehrle Dr. near Curtwright Dr. The man suffered serious head and shoulder injuries and was treated at ECMC.
After an almost four week investigation, Senior Investigator Scott Lawida of the Amherst Police Department Accident Investigation Unit located a 2016 Chevrolet Trax at a residence in the Town of Amherst. The driver was identified as 21 year old Kaitlin Early from Williamsville.
With assistance from members of the Amherst Police Departments Accident Investigation Unit, the driver was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident resulting in serious physical injury, a Class E Felony.
