WATERLOO, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities have scheduled a news conference to discuss a shooting in an upstate New York village that left two people dead and a third wounded.

State police say the news conference will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Seneca County District Attorney's Office in the village of Waterloo, where the shootings occurred late Tuesday night at the house of a victim.

Police say a man and women were fatally shot and a second woman was wounded. She's recovering at a hospital in Rochester.

Officials say the suspect was caught the following morning at a campground in neighboring Ontario County. Police say he suffered self-inflicted injuries and is being treated at a Rochester hospital.

Police haven't released details of the shooting, including the names of the victim or the suspect.
