Amherst Man Accused of Sexually Molesting a Child

DA: Anthony Mendola molested a girl between 2015 and 2017

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) An Amherst man has been charged with one count of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, a Class “A-II” felony, and one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child, a Class “B” violent felony.

The Erie County DA's office says 65 year old Anthony Mendola sexually abused a girl between 2015 and 2017. 

DA John Flynn says Mendola, who has been fugitive from justice since July 2018, was located last night inside a house in the City of Buffalo.

If convicted, Mendola faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison. He remains remanded without bail.
