(WBEN) A five alarm fire Saturday afternoon at the Creekside Apartments on Tonawanda Creek Road. It was called in just after 2 oclock.

Dozens of people in Lockport are looking for a new place to sleep after fire ripped through their apartments.

The cause is under investigation according to Rapids Fire Company Chief Barry Kobrin.

The fire was contained to 8 apartments in one building. Officials say 26 people are effected and the Red Cross is assisting.
